Hello and welcome! My name is Gail Langdon.
I have loved to write for as long as I can remember and began doing so for TWE Daily in 2022. My “real” career often sidelined my writing efforts but getting the work done that kept the lights on, was the wise choice for me.
Much has changed since that time.
When I decided to close my business and retire from corporate life, the next step for me was to turn my focus, skills, experience and training to curating a new chapter. A creative one.
This chapter needed to be rooted in the joy of writing. Writing about the shows and movies I experience, the admiration I have for the artists I respect and about the musicians for whom I am in constant peril of becoming a groupie.
I named the site “Found My Jam.” It’s a phrase that was originally attributed to the love of music. It has since been adopted to mean anything that is your groove, your rhythm, something that fits you, pleases you, agrees with you, represents you. Not only does the content on this site represent all the things I love, but my fondest hope is that anyone who visits, will find that this site is their jam too. “You’re In The Right Place” will ring true for anyone who finds joy here.
I chose a colorful typewriter as the site’s logo as it symbolizes the primary tool of writers, for whom I have the deepest respect. I also believe that journalism is a noble profession. The kind of journalism with clear objectives aimed at shining a light on truth, of being a chronicler of our collective history, doing the research and telling the stories that mark our shared experiences. My faith wavers when reporting reduces itself to curating “hits” and “likes” by employing trickery, perpetuating scandal and glorifying gossip. I choose instead to keep the faith and protect my ever-in-danger-of-becoming-jaded heart, by shining love, positivity and admiration on what inspires me.
Wherever I can, I will do my best to share thought-provoking points of view, interesting facts, good reading (I hope) and plenty of amusement. Throughout this journey, I hope to do all I can to help others in whatever capacity possible.

2024-Aug: At the time this site is launched, much of the content are articles sourced from the writing I did for TWE Daily. I hope to branch out with the content offerings immediately, and am working diligently to do just that. In time, I would like the possibility of offering site memberships for those who wish to participate. Running ads on this site (coming in the new year) is not intended to make money, it is simply motivated by generating enough revenue to cover the operating, software and hosting costs.
2024-Sept: This site is soon to become “we” instead of just “I” as the ever-growing need to expand will take in more writers.
