Tracker-The Storm

‘The Storm’ is the last episode of the Tracker series, Season 1. Colter investigates the disappearance of two amateur storm chasers which lead him to uncover the seedy underbelly of a small town resort. This article is part of our 5 episode recap.

Prepping for Season 2!

We are ramping things up for premiere day, October 13th/24.

Coming into Tracker Week, we are pulling together the family-rich episodes from the first season to highlight the mystery, intrigue and questions we still need answered. Last up is S01, E13, Tracker-The Storm.

Season 01, Episode 13 – The Storm

Season 1/Episode 13 – Aired: May 19, 2024 – The Storm
Shaw Family History
– The Shaw family used to take vacations (and research trips) in Sandy Point.
– When Colter and Lizzy (childhood friends) were kids, Lizzy gave Russell a black eye and a bloody nose.
– Colter said Russell made him lie to their father about it.
– Lizzy revealed that her mother and Colter’s father were not only working together, but they were also having an affair.
– When Lizzy’s mother passed away Lizzy found a file box that contained a bunch of research papers and personal journals, and she realized that it belonged to Ashton Shaw. It was his work.
– She shared a memory of hers with Colter, about his dad visiting their home just before he died.
– She witnessed Ashton and her mother having an argument in their driveway and then hugging it out.
– Afterwards her mother carried the file box into their house.
– Colter asked her if she knew that his father worked for the government, and she did not. He also asked her if she still had the box.
– Lizzy said she no longer has the box. She didn’t know what to do with it, so she called Dory and had the box sent to her.
– Colter wondered why Dory never told him and Lizzy thought maybe it would be best if he left it all in the past. He told her that that was the same advice he kept getting for Dory as well.
– Lizzy suggested he talk with this mother about it, but Colter said no. He told Lizzy that it was his mother who led him to believe that it was Russell who was responsible for their father’s death and kept them apart. Lizzy wondered if his mother’s actions were to protect him, but neither of them knew from what.
Episode Notes
Colter is in Sandy Point and is doing a tracking job for old family friend.
This episode opens with a phone conversation between Reenie and Colter. She is resigning her current position and I’m sure we will learn much more about that in the new season. She has been researching the Horizon firm Russell works for but knows nothing new. She did hear from him however and he sent her a selfie from a bar on the beach in Argentina and asked her if she wanted to join him for dinner in Buenos Aires. Colter seemed amused at his brother’s antics.
Reenie also got an invitation to spend some downtime with Colter, but she declined the offer from him as well. I kind of love the flirty push and pull the brothers are doing with Reenie. It’s sweet and harmless and seems like a fun way for the brothers to engage in some friendly competition to win a girl’s heart. Neither of them will, as we learned from the Livestream event that there is not going to be any love triangle
storyline. But it’s fun to watch.
Questions
13-25. Did Colter’s mother know of the affair that her husband was having with Lizzy’s mother?
13-26. Ashton Shaw and Lizzy’s mother argued about something. Does it have to do with the contents of the file box?
13-27. Is Ashton’s death linked to the contents of this box?
13-28. What is in the file box that Lizzy sent to Dory?
13-29. Why did Dory not tell Colter about the box?
